We normally don't eat this type of food, but it looked interesting. I always liked the Velveeta-style macaroni and cheese products over the powdered. This has an orzo pasta though, not noodles. It was more like a chicken/broccoli/rice casserole dish than an outright pasta dish.
I had some already-cooked chicken thigh leftovers in the fridge, so the prep time was very short. The instructions were easy to understand and follow. The little bits of dried out broccoli though, they looked like old parsley. If I were to make this again I might add half a package of frozen chopped broccoli to get some real-veg flavor and texture into it.
Overall the flavor was better than most Chicken Helper products, and I assume that's the market Velveeta is going after. The creamy cheesy sauce was a big plus over the straight-powder products offered by Hamburger Helper product.
The suggested topping was to grind up Ritz crackers on top; that would have made a nice touch. It was a hit with teen son and husband, and even the teenager could make this for dinner if he had to.
